No Such Puzzle: Here Be Monsters

Halloween is coming! In each #NoSuchPuzzle for the rest of October, we have given you a sentence that contains hidden within it (ignoring spaces and punctuation) the name of a mythological creature of at least 5 letters. Find the name of the creature.

Example: The clothing could have belonged to an ancient king: a tunic ornamented with gold and jewels, and fine boots covered in silver decorations. 
Answer: Unicorn:  “...tUNIC ORNamented...”
