NSA response to LMR Antenna in San Antonio, Texas

FORT MEADE, Md.  –  

The newly installed Land Mobile Radio (LMR) antenna is operating in the authorized FCC military frequency band for use by construction and security personnel at the site. The National Security Agency has been in contact with the City Council,  the Mayor's office,  and the FCC. Even though the LMR antenna is operating appropriately in its assigned band,  it was turned off for approximately 30 days to allow residents and vendors the opportunity to address and rectify the matter. Consumers experiencing interference should contact the manufacturer of the door opener control or their local installer for information on available immediate solutions.
