CURRENT POSITION: Chief Master Sergeant Kenneth M. Bruce, Jr., assumed his present duties as Command Senior Enlisted Leader, U.S. Cyber Command and Senior Enlisted Advisor, National Security Agency/Central Security Service in September 2023. He previously served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 16th Air Force, Air Forces Cyber from January 2021 – August 2023.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND: Chief Bruce enlisted in the Air Force in July 1996. His experience includes various positions within sensor operations, geospatial intelligence, and special operations at the squadron, wing, major command and Headquarters Air Force levels. He has deployed in support of multiple named operations across the globe. Chief Bruce has held a range of leadership positions, culminating as a Command Chief Master Sergeant. He is a John Levitow recipient from Airman Leadership School, the Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, and a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force Senior Non-commissioned Officer Academy. Chief Bruce was awarded the Legion of Merit with one bronze oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with silver and bronze oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, and Air Force Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster. His other achievements include a 2004 Headquarters Special Warfare Command, Republic of Korea Letter of Commendation, the 2009 United States Air Force SMSgt Margaret Frances Barbour NCO of the Year Award, a 2010 Republic of Korea Air Force Letter of Commendation, and the 2016 United States Air Force Etchberger Team of the Year Award.
EDUCATION: Chief Bruce is a graduate of the Community College of the Air Force and Liberty University. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Religion and a Masters of Arts in Human Service Counseling, Military Resilience. He is also a gradate of the National Defense University 2020 Keystone Command Senior Enlisted Leader Course.
PERSONAL: Chief Bruce is married to Nicole. They have four children and two dogs.
