Cybersecurity Speaker Series: Defense Industrial Base

The National Security Agency (NSA) Cybersecurity Collaboration Center released the latest video in its Cybersecurity Speaker Series today, focusing on the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). The DIB consists of hundreds of thousands of technology, manufacturing, and service companies around the world that design, develop, and produce the Department of Defense’s critical systems, platforms and technologies required to defend the nation.

NSA, CISA, and FBI Expose PRC State-Sponsored Exploitation of Network Providers, Devices

The National Security Agency (NSA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released a Cybersecurity Advisory (CSA) today, “People’s Republic of China State-Sponsored Cyber Actors Exploit Network Providers and Devices.” The advisory highlights how People’s Republic of China (PRC) actors have targeted and compromised major telecommunications companies and network service providers primarily by exploiting publicly known vulnerabilities. Networks affected have ranged from small office/home office (SOHO) routers to medium and large enterprise networks.

Sgt. 1st Class Antonio Rey Rodriguez honored during NSA Cryptologic Memorial Wall ceremony

On Thursday, GEN Paul M. Nakasone, Commander, U. S. Cyber Command, Director, NSA/Chief CSS hosted the 2022 Memorial Wall Ceremony to honor those who fell in the line of duty in service to the Agency and the Nation. The ceremony paid special respects to SFC Antonio Rey Rodriguez, whose name was engraved two years ago after he fell in the line of duty on 8 February 2020.

NSA Hosts the Maryland Department of IT in cybersecurity workshop

The Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) Executive team on Thursday took part in a series of cybersecurity workshops provided by the National Security Agency (NSA). These workshops focused on NSA cyber risk best practices and how they can be utilized to ensure security in the state cyber environment. The workshops provide information regarding risk management, cyber threats, and supply chain management.

NSA recognizes Codebreaker challenger winners in ceremony shedding light on cybersecurity careers

In recognition of Georgia Tech's 2021 Codebreaker Challenge victory, a team from National Security Agency's (NSA) Academic Outreach team jointly hosted an in-person celebration at Georgia Institute of Technology's CODA Tech Square with Georgia Tech's School of Cybersecurity and Privacy. The NSA Codebreaker Challenge (CBC) is an annual cryptanalysis and reverse engineering event that offers students at U.S.-based schools an opportunity to experience a realistic NSA mission-centric scenario typifying the work that NSA experts perform daily in defense of the Nation.
