Today the National Security Agency (NSA) publicly commemorated its 50th anniversary when Lt Gen Michael V. Hayden USAF Director National Security Agency/Chief Central Security Service unveiled a new exhibit at the National Cryptologic Museum.

November 4th 2002 has been named "NSA DAY" in Anne Arundel County by County Executive Janet S. Owens in a proclamation honoring "the National Security Agency its 'silent sentinels ' and its rich legacy of a half-century of service to our Nation and our community."

National Security Agency's National Cryptologic Museum Unveils Exhibit Honoring NSA'S 50 Years of Service to America

On 1 November 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Lt Gen Michael V. Hayden USAF Director National Security Agency/Chief Central Security Service will cut the ribbon to unveil a new exhibit at the National Cryptologic Museum highlighting the Agency's half-century of providing and protecting America's most critical information.

The National Security Agency (NSA) has achieved another milestone in its reformed acquisition program by making the first-ever, multiple prime contract awards to 14 Washington-Baltimore area small businesses under the NSA Set-Aside for Small Business (NSETS) program.
