The National Security Agency/Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) awarded a multi-million dollar Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to the Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA) of Utah. This contract, which has a potential duration of five years and is vital to the overall success of the project, will provide the utilities infrastructure to the Utah Data Center (UDC) project site located at Camp Williams, Utah. The utilities infrastructure is in support of the overall construction effort for the UDC facility, which is a separate acquisition that is being handled by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and will be awarded at a later date. The MIDA IDIQ contract will consist of multiple TTOs. The 1st TTO will involve developing a master plan, and execution strategy for how to best design and construct the power, water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure required to operate the UDC.
Camp Williams, Utah is the location of the intelligence community data center for which NSA/CSS is the executive agent for the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of this facility on behalf of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
MIDA is an independent, nonprofit public corporation created by the state of Utah in 2007 with the purpose to facilitate the development of military land in cooperation with the military installations.
