No Such Puzzle: Cybersecurity Awareness Month

NSA honors #CyberMonth with a #NoSuchPuzzle. Help secure the network in the grid by building a firewall to separate the computers from the malicious cyber actors. Then use the counts of the cells inside the firewall to find some sound cybersecurity advice. What is the advice?

Puzzle Instructions:

  • Connect horizontally or vertically adjacent nodes so that the edges form a single continuous loop that does not touch or intersect itself.
  • All of the computers should be inside of the loop, and all of the cyber actors should be outside of the loop.
  • A number within a cell indicates how many of its four sides are a part of the loop.
  • After you complete the firewall, take the number of cells in each row that are inside of the loop, from top to bottom, and use that to count into the corresponding row in the table.
  • Read the words in top-to-bottom order.
