NSA Leads the Nation in Recycling Ceiling Tiles

When we think about recycling, we usually think about paper, cans, plastic bottles, and glass. But what about ceiling tiles? That's right, ceiling tiles.

The National Security Agency (NSA) was recognized in 2009 by Armstrong World Industries (AWI) for being the nation's leader in recycling ceiling tiles. NSA received this plaque at the special event held at the National Cryptologic Museum.

In 2014, NSA processed more than 108,000 pounds of ceiling tiles. This is one of many examples of how, in a time when the world is trying to determine the best ways to preserve the environment, NSA is a leader in innovative thought and action.
